Built in 1963, the Ramada Mall of America is no ordinary hotel. As one of the
original hotels in Bloomington, Minnesota, the unique Native American motif is a
distinctive visual and graphic identity that is both educational and captivating.
Our guests are able to take pleasure in viewing a wide variety of popular Native
American artwork and artifacts throughout the hotel, including Doolittle prints,
brass sculptures by Christopher Pardell, dioramas by Damiani, and pewter and
brasswork by Michael Ricker. Even our guestrooms showcase Native American designs
and prints. Read more about our past as the Thunderbird Motel.
The hotel is unique because it offers historical culture along with modern amenities,
including free high-speed wireless Internet access, pay-per-view movies, and video
games in each room.
Even through major renovations, the historical significance and
captivating Native American design of the hotel has remained an integral part of the
hotel's enticement.
